#man I love having a favorite character no one else makes content for :']#(lying)#the blorbo...#hyperfixation: v #v-posting #im gonna yap abt my headcanons in thr tags #he and Philip used to be inseperable as kids and gradually grew apart #Martin got along better with their mom and Philip got jealous of their relationship #especially when she fell ill #Martin left for Earth while she was struggling leaving his brother to care for her #he didnt want to leave her but she urged him to go because it was a great opportunity for him #Philip resented him for leaving them behind on their dying homeworld #Martin was initially on-board with the Visitors' actions since it's all he'd ever known #but after he saw all the damage they had done to other planets he started to change his mind #he and Barbara are good friends which is why she was the one to sub in for him in the plan to free Mike #he would've been the one to give him the uniform but he walked in on Barbara treating his wound and went 'oh no he's hot'#he bailed out last minute bc he's a gay mess and Barbara will not let him live that down #basically 'hey change of plan can you break him out instead?' 'why?' 'i just. um. have something to do. elsewhere.'#queue 'you like Krabby Patties don't yoy Squidward' ass behavior from his bestie #(on that note: Barbara is a lesbian with a crush on Julie bc she deserves a gf that doesn't eant her dead)#(and Philip is aro/ace but married bc Visitor Cultural Norms)#Martin was supposed to be married but joining the expedition meant he got out of it #another reason Philip kinda hates him #also Martin's favorite food is eggs! based on egg-eating snakes and lizards :]#he doesn't like eating live prey bc he has hella hyper-empathy #most Visitors find that weird #he goes through so many eggs though. like jesus man thats so many eggs #I like to think he and Mike lived together for a while after The Final Battle and he'd usually get up early to make breakfast :]#mike gets eggs and bacon and Martin just has a blended cup of raw eggs #Mike accidentally drank it one time thinking it was orange juice. it was not.
