How I imagined if Mandarin was ever redeemed was him returning to the Veran Mystics after the destruction of the temple. Since both Mandarin and the mystics turned away from from the path of good, I like thinking about them trying to change back together.

On a serious note, I actually enjoy the idea that the Veran Mystics psychically threw their disciples around as a punishment.

Yo you got any fluffy Manakko headcanons?

Hmmmm……again unsure if they’re actually fluffy….

Headcanons:

Sakko was the one who convinced Mandarin to jump ship in the Skeleton King episode.

Sakko was responsible for most of Mandarin’s tech and Mandarin appreciates him for it.

Mandarin isn’t bothered that Sakko tries to stay on him.

They spent a lot of time together after Mandarin joined up and transformed.

They both really enjoyed breaking Jinmay.

They respect each other’s work and role. I think how Sakko didn’t interfere until the end in Hidden Fortress and how he mentioned Mandarin’s turn in Skeleton King. I can’t rewatch the episodes right now, but was Mandarin annoyed that Sakko one-upped him or did he not display anything about it? I feel reinforced if its the latter.

Ideas:

They planned together that Sakko would be hidden in Mandarin’s tech.

They bonded over Skeleton King.

They built and designed that giant purple robot together.

Mandarin ribbed on Sakko for hacking the Super Robot’s plans when Mandarin….just knows them lol. Then they brainstormed together more ways to take down the Super Robot.

They both bonded over hunting down Jinmay.

If Mandarin tried to make Sakko do something, Sakko threatened to mess up his tech or not upgrade him or something.

Mandarin never underestimated Sakko based on his appearance and Sakko appreciated it. I debated on making this a headcanon cuz Mandarin did judge Chiro, BUT maybe he only judged him cuz he was human and a child.

Mandarin picks Sakko up to make sure he stays safe.

Mandarin and Sakko are pretty good at recognizing when to leave the other alone and when they want company. Sakko shows it more when he chooses to stand on Mandarin’s shoulder or not.

I just imagine these two laughing together evilly a lot???

I also had some thoughts that if Skeleton King did brainwash Mandarin, he wanted him to work together with the monkey team and decreased Mandarin's ire towards them.

Well if we’re talking efficiency, In the name of efficacy Mandarin rearranges Gibson’s lab and DOESN’T cause that one big explosion Gibson obviously should’ve been prepared for... (i doubt this would be a thing but I can honestly see him nit picking how Gibson does things when he wants things DONE NOW! During missions)

Ashahskdmdan I feel like a Mandarin apologist right now, but I actually…….believe Mandarin respected everyone’s position in the the team really well……like maybe he wouldn’t be nice, but he properly acknowledged their abilities…….Though I can still see him berating Gibson and the others if he thinks they’re not doing their best enough.

Also different from what I enjoy making and joking about, my actual headcanons for if Antauri were in love with Mandarin, he’d be super subtle, nobody would be able to tell. They can see that he’s affected after exiling Mandarin, but wouldn’t actually see him acting sad. He’d help process the situation with the others if they needed it, but he would go be sad by himself.
