I took a handful of photos from a Sketchparty at a local pub (or ‘tavern’). Here are a couple landscape shots and closeups of my doodles from the night. I love my turian dude, who got a couple closeups here. And there was this awesome neon marker I used for the eyes and I love it.

I finally checked out Sketch Party last night at Hyperion Tavern and was not disappointed. There was something like 30 people crammed into this tiny pub...all going at it with markers. Looks like I found my people!

Stupid Pills presents Gulp, with Paul Pescador at Hyperion Tavern in Silverlake at7:30pm. For this presentation, seven performers are given five to seven minutes to present their individual pieces. Each performance explores issues of sonic, verbal and visual language ranging from the small and simple to the loud and theatrical. Admission is free. In Atwater Village, Thank You For Coming hosts the Petit Takett Shabbat Dinner at 7:30pm. Presented by food blog Petit Takett, this event observes the traditional Jewish custom with the hopes that participants sit and discuss family, culture, love, art and more.
