Trance Idea #18: "Reset"
And the countdown persists. Hopefully you all are enjoying this so far, I certainly am!
Amnesia triggers. Love them or hate them, they are an integral part of the hypnosis zeitgeist. They come in many forms, and this one is a particular favorite.
As with a decent amount of triggers, "Reset" does exactly what is says on the tin: you forget the session up until this point, waking yourself up to think that you've only just started. But of course, your mind and body is already feeling the effects of previous drops or triggers that have wrapped themselves around you, so you're already starting off on the wrong (or right) foot. It therefore can be very easy for those familiar words to weave their way through your mind, the paths already having been cleared and your thoughts (whatever meager ones have found their way back) swept away again.
My favorite thing about this trigger, however, is when it's used multiple times in one session. Occasionally, it's even used in quick succession. And that's when this amnesia trigger becomes a confusion trigger as well, which is one of my absolute favorite combinations. Because then, the mind plays tricks on itself. You wake up, say hello to them, and you're unable to shake the feeling that you've done this before, almost down to the tone of voice. Why were you leaning back just then? Don't worry about that. Must've just zoned out, that must be it. And ignore the gentle fog that creeps and rests around your mind, after all, that always happens when you talk with your tist.
Besides, you're just getting started.
Have fun with this one, and see you tomorrow~
