IT STARTED WHEN you were talking to your friends, Percy was busy training with Jason those matches always took long so you decided to hang out with your friends!
You had friends all around camp, anyone would just invite you to hang out just because they knew you were nice company!
You’ve always worried people would stop inviting you because you’re too tired or “boring”—so when they started talking about rejecting guys for fun, insulting campers and etc?? you got a weird vibe and tried to excuse yourself, unfortunately they caught on that you weren’t into those things
when you told them you are going to go they started when you left:”she’s probably leaving to take a nap and:”of course she’s leaving, all hypnos kids are boring” in a tone loud enough to where you could hear.
it hurt your feelings! you’ve spend all your time to make sure people don’t perceive you as boring or “always tired” but you excuse yourself in one conversation and things go wrong.
after you left, you went to your cabin and wrote when your diary—maybe writing in your diary will make you feel better? spoiler: it didn’t. you started thinking maybe you should tell Percy! but you didn’t wanna burden him with your problems.
you decided to grab a milkshake, eating something sweet always made your mood better. you went to go to the dining Pavilion to grab some icecream.
on your way there, you bumped into Percy! he said he’s finished training and apparently he took a shower too, you could tell by his wet black hair and water dripping on his shirt.
he asked what you were doing, do you lie? Percy could read you like a book and knows if something is wrong. he was already looking at you with a little worry in his eyes. you figured he would know anyways so you told the truth:”I’m just going to get icecream” you were nervous saying that because he knows you get icecream everytime you’re upset.
he asked:”is everything okay?” you weren’t good at masking your emotions with him, especially if you were upset. you replied:
“everything’s fine!”
but he knew everything wasn’t fine.
he grabbed your chin and said:”you don’t have to lie pretty girl, what’s wrong?”
you sighed and told him everything that happened, what they said, your insecurities and why it bothered you, even how you’re afraid you’re not enough for him.
while talking he brought you to his cabin to talk, not like it’s the first time you’ve been there.
after you finished talking he grabbed your face, gave you a soft kiss on the lips and said:”pretty girl, you know you’re perfect right? you don’t have to prove to anyone how “cool” you are.
“if they can’t see it that’s on them.”
you nod listening to his words and smiling softly, in his mini fridge(which you bought him for his birthday), he pulled out your favorite ice cream:Ben & Jerry’s rocky road ice cream.

he says he’s been “saving it for if you get upset”.
wow you really did have the best boyfriend ever
he gave you a spoon and then pulled out a spoon for his plain vanilla icecream, you never understood why his favorite wasn’t something more special but you mostly just teased him about it. ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪
you teased saying:”vanilla again?” he replied laughing:”rocky road again?” you responded with:”that’s fair.” while smiling
he got his laptop and put on a movie.
while watching he said with vanilla on his lips:”I love you just the way you are, don’t change yourself for anyone, okay?”
You nod and smile then grabs his face to kiss him.
the icecream was forgotten after five minutes.
