#hypocrite fandom

I’ve been lurking in the purple fandom off and on for the past 3 years and it reaffirms my theory that army has not grown up and neither have 6 out of 7 members. In fact, I think they have regressed.

Jimin has always been exceptional, as an artist and just as a human. The small glimpses we have seen throughout the last 12 years on content (which seems a lot but it’s only like 4-5% of their lives, maybe a little bit more at times especially with the documentaries, travel shows, etc) has proven that, especially the anecdotes from people who have met him, more so now with the notes from fellow soldiers, who signed his jacket on discharge. I love to read the many comments on YouTube, YouTube shorts, TikTok, the Qoo, appreciating his words regarding fellow soldiers. As the wife of an ex-soldier, those words are more impactful to me than anything.

The fandom has consistently disappointed me with their hypocrisy, manipulation, and gaslighting.

Why does the overall fandom celebrate brand rankings only when Jimin does not top but when he gets number one they ignore that? And have to write essays on why it’s not important. I am convinced there are no true ot7s but people hide themselves to not alienate their followers which is so pathetic. I want to ask these people “is your life so sad that social media validation from strangers on the internet the only thing you have in your life?” Why do people have to manipulate others to follow their dictates and why can’t people think for themselves and do their own research? … just a lot of whys

The fandom only reflects what bigshit has taught them.  They want only one member to be the breakout star and not Jimin nor the other members, so that’s how the fandom has been moving.  The history of the fandom has always reflected what bigshit wants to manipulate.  It’s just now in solo era that it is more pronounced.  Sure some members are more privileged from the beginning like the rapline but they have yet to hit anything of significance even after releasing their solo albums and before that the mixtapes (I know fandom will say “but they are mixtapes”, “it’s not for commercial success - it’s because they love army and want to give us free music” - yikes - the delusion).  What human being releases art for purely altruistic reasons??  Humans are not that noble especially people in a competitive field like the music industry.  All those mixtapes were their entry to gauge the results of how successful they would be solo.  Rapline had those privileges to release the mixtapes but since they didn’t make much noise they moved to jungkook when solo era officially started.    

The rapline and jungkook have always been privileged from beginning but especially jungkook using the maknae card.  How could a so-called bankrupt company send a nondancer and sungduek (so-called choreographer who steals others’ credits for achievements) for a month of intense dance training to Los Angeles.  That’s not cheap.  The company can hold jungkook up and take the credit of making him a star so they can replicate that process.  They can say that to their investors.  It’s been in the planning stages since the beginning but it was more pronounced when DNA era started with the influx of western stans.  That fandom latched onto the underdog story so fast and has yet to let it go.

The company and army then moved to preaching “ot7-ism” but didn’t really reflect that. Fandom latched onto that due to rapline not being as popular as vocal line as reflected by sales and streams. Rapline stans always have a soft spot for jungkook due to being marketed by fandom and company as “golden maknae”. And don’t even get me started on shippers.

Just got back from scrolling through twitter and saw trends to respect that exposed ~250,000 follower count karmy, 52herz or something (hint that “army” is the one who gave out melon passes to chart 7 fraudulently on melon - didn’t do that for any other member). But of course iarmy trended to respect that account to counter PJMS who trended 52herz out and fake armys out and Jimin only has PJMS. Twitter is laughable. “Armys” go to all pjm tweets to say Jm hates you, support his brothers, he only knows armys, etc., etc. They act like PJMS are spoiling the fun for them celebrating 7 song but didn’t give a shit that all the other akgaes and solos from rapline stans, jin, jungkook, and tae stans weren’t ruining the fun and celebration of Jimin’s new album. Both sides are acting vicious but since I’m a PJM, I root for PJM. I’ve never been army and never will. Even back when I first started lurking in ~2015-2016 I saw the hypocrisy and bullying of army against PJMS, but I also saw all the shit from pinks and eggs too. Twitter is just a cesspool with all the manipulation and screenshots of receipts that can be fake or real when it comes to K-pop. But it is a necessary evil so I can get info.

I also saw the manipulation of army to get rest of K-pop to feel sorry for them to get masses on their side which turned into another manipulation to indoctrinate to whoever was their bias which turned into using that little fake 7 when MOTS 7 came out which then turned into 7 for jk’s song. Almost everyone I’ve seen fighting PJMS have that 7 not for MOTS 7 but for that song. And most of them use those tired clapbacks or the animal slurs, name calling JM, calling everything a lie when shown the payola. It’s a cycle that keeps getting worse and worse year after year.

I cannot stand when an “army”/ot7 cultist/jkkr/jk solos and akgaes go to people’s tumblrs or tweets to try to manipulate others to support jungkook’s payola song. Threads of his so called sabotage by these people is to justify all the payola he has and to twist the narrative. Cannot believe there are still people dumb enough to spew out Jimin’s “privilege” and how he’s the company fave. It takes all other member’s solos and akgaes to team up to take down Jimin and his fans. Jimin’s fans keep growing and keep fighting for him. The days of army intimidation is gone. I’m so glad to witness Jimin fans’ growth and strength because they used to keep their mouths shut in order to not be labeled as “solo”. That crap was hard to witness in 2016. Now I see so many proud to be solo stans. The only reason ot7 try to shut us up is because they don’t want the delusion of one happy family shattered and also very few are true ot7. I have yet to witness anyone be ot7 in the 6 years I’ve been watching the fandom.
