Hugh Lygon with one of his dogs. Before to make his last journey to Germany (where he died) he was having problems to leave due to the fact he had to abandon his dogs for three weeks. I guess we cannot talk so much about his friends and lovers and not to post about him, am I wrong? That's Evelyn Waugh. I guess his expression reflects his double vision about the circle he was in : half disgusted, half attracted. He preferred a good time with some close friend to those Bright Young parties, but from other side, he could not stay totally out of the games.
