Only accepting mass productions and mass casualties when it coincides with your lifestyle doesn't make you an activist it makes you a hypocrite.
Hypocritical views
Sometimes I stop to look at myself and sort out my beliefs. Today I discovered that I have two beliefs that totally contradict each other. I believe in the philosophy of existentialism, how many random absurd occurrences can affect your present conditions. But I've been reading The Secret and I have also come to belief its teachings about the Law of Attractions.
These two philosophies are totally opposite of each other. One believes in strange things that are out of our control, but the other believes that we are always in control of our life depending on our thoughts and its frequencies. If anything, I feel like I believe in existentialism more.
Two other philosophies I discovered to have hypocritical views is the idea of fate versus the concept of coincidence. You cannot believe in fate if you believe in coincidences and vice versa. To believe in fate is to say that the events in your life have been fore-planned but to say things are coincidences puts the whole idea into chance's hands.
