Woojin
Alright now that I've gotten my feelings in check(more or less) I've been reevaluating the situation and I feel like something needs to be said:
Look when the news first dropped I was devastated. We were devastated. We still are and we're still going to be and that's ok but it also made me realize why we feel that way; whether we want to admit it or not we do get attached to idols, with the amount of content they put out it's hard not too, especially so with stray kids. We were constantly being fed content whether through music videos, special interviews, special dance videos, skz talker, 2kids room, instagram posts everyday, Chan's vlives every week, and in all that content and all those updates I think we forgot that at the end of the day we don't really know them. We forgot that even though they seemed so open with us they seemed like they told us everything they still only showed us what they wanted us to see. This has a been a huge wake up call that we truely don't know what goes on behind the camera. Now I'm not saying they weren't genuine I refuse to believe they could fake a bond like that and that's what makes this news so hard to take, so hard to believe, because watching how they struggled to be nine, how happy they were when they finally were nine, only to now be 8? To lose a member after everything they went though? It's difficult to take in, it's confusing, its devastating but it's also an eye opener. I know we all like to think of them as our friends and I know we all felt and even still feel an emotional connection with them and we feel like we know them but we don't. We only know what they show us on camera, we dont know what they were struggling with, we don't know what went on behind the scenes and for it to happen so suddenly there's no doubt it was something major however that's all we know. It could quite literally be anything from mental health, a family problem, and yes even a breach in contract because even though they came across as nine boys just living their dream this was still their job and as with any job there are rules you have to follow and if you don't follow those rules you can't work anymore but again the fact is we don't know and we shouldnt make assumptions, we should know better than anyone that jumping to conclusions only causes more problems. Yes I know you want answers we all do and I've seen alot of people asking for some and that's fine but don't be demanding or disrespectful because wether we like it or not it is confirmed right now as a personal reason but even if we do get a conformation of what really happened just be prepared that it might not be the answer you wanted.
So to summarize yes we took it so hard because we emotionally connected with them and no theres nothing wrong with that but it is reminder that no matter how much we think we know a person or band we have to remind ourselves we only see what they want us too and as fans our only job is to support them in their musical journey, And yes the news is sudden and suspicious and yes you want answers but remember you may not always like the answers you find. So yeah we may have started as nine and no, were not gonna finish as nine physically but Woojin will always be apart of Stray Kids, we will always have those memories, and no matter what the truth may turn out to be let's not let it interfere with all the great memories we have because there may be 8 in the band but it will always be NINE in the family
the album was just so good, clé:levanter saved me jdjsjssj
but which song was your favourite, mine was personally sunshine, cos those lyrics hit a spot 🥺
and the music was just so goood, the beats in stop are just amazing really and you can STAY is just beautiful and im pretty sure ive watched the mv for levanter 30030029292929 times since it came out, the visuals and the vocals served just made it just like so good okAy
double knot was good, dont get me wrong, but i got a feeling that someone's vocals were missing and it made me sliGhtly sad but i honestly guess they have their reasons :<
booster was all about moving forward and being unreachable by others (i hope they someday come to a point where its like that) this is a song i would definitely jam to, like its so catchy and it sounds really amazing
and lastly, astronaut. alas, like other mvs ive watched it and rewatched it multiple times but i just can't get enough of it
this group is so talented and one of a kind im so grateful to be able to stan them today and im really proud of this album they produced :))
