1 December 2016 marks my 6 months stay in the Board.
It is a blessing to me after a 3 month hiatus from the force when I left on 1 March 2016. Remembered that I lost sleep due to “unemployment” as well as undergoing the disappointment when HT did not accept my job application. I was confident that they would accept me because of my past and relevant experience.
Nonetheless, I have moved on and accepted the offer from the Board. Despite the paycut, I am happier than before. Secured my job after 1 month since interview. Won 3rd prize after betting on my new salary number. More time with my girl (maybe hor). Job introduction and orientation sessions were pretty exciting. Wonderful people in the place with positive attitude. It is my first experience in the corporate world. It was totally different compared to the regimental life.
There is always a “however”. HAHA! Nothing is perfect but just let me rant yeah!
However, it is still a desk-bound cum customer service job. I dislike doing “sales” to people especially those lack with moral and ethnics. Lose faith in humanity. Spoke to my DD once and she advised me not to treat it personally. After all, this group is unhappy with the policies. Got to agree with her and adapt myself into this arena.
Good news is that I will encounter the same shit anywhere. Might as well treat it as a training ground before embarking on the next journey.
Stay positive and collect my transcript :)
