☂ -- My muse encounters yours just as it starts to rain.
The emotion had hit him so suddenly the moment he had realized what day it was. It caused a pain to seep between his ribs; attempting to claw at his heart, it constricted him of air, of release from his memories. The poison of the memory filled his thoughts, intoxicating his mind with every little moment of that very day, it was enough to drive him to fall to his knees, to make him yell, scream, thrash. The thoughts were horrendous, they were loud and relentless as they bombarded his thoughts; causing every single vision that flashed to be of the one he could not save.
He had experienced it all so suddenly as he was meeting with his dear friend, he had seen her right before the realization crossed his features; the corners of his lips etched into a deep frown—denting the once unknowing expression, and his brows drew together as though he had received a headache that would not cease and disappear. He hadn’t realized what day it was, he had been so caught up with the work that continued to busy his mind, and his dear friends had been so beautiful with their ways of helping his days continue with constant golden rays. But sudden guilt seared through him as he registered what he had forgotten and it clenched at his heart causing him to barely registered that it had begun to rain.
It had come down in an unnatural pour—too quick and sudden had the clouds drained the skies of their radiance; like the taller was drained of all emotion he had once emitted only moments ago, and the clouds fanned out immediately; engulfing the once bright and golden sun with their dark menacing hold. The rain was icy to the touch; reflecting Yifan’s diminishing emotion and his sudden hatred for what he had so greatly regretted that bled from his thoughts. It soaked the taller’s clothes as he continued to walk slowly to his friend, it was as though the sky was crying, it was crying for Yifan.
Once he reached Hyuna he realized why out of all days she had chosen this one, she knew he’d need someone or something to help calm the sudden storm that raged and screamed within and so uneventfully poured out through the skies. She knew he’d need a friend to help him through this day, to help clear the skies and bring back the warm and loving sun, to bring the smile his mother so loved, even on the day she had passed away.
