❝  i  mean  —  TECHNICALLY  ,  we’re  not  supposed  to  go  up  on  the  top  deck  ‘cause  of  y’know  ,  potential  lawsuits  if  we  get  hurt  or  DIE  or  whatever  ,  but  when  has  mini  golf  ever  killed  anyone  ??  ❞  mickey  reasoned  ,  his  hands  gesticulating  wildly  without  much  thought  up  until  he  became  acutely  aware  of  it  .  he  lets  his  hands  pause  where  they  are  before  shooting  a  grin  at  the  person  beside  him  and  slipping  them  into  the  pocket  of  his  hoodie  .  something  he  can  blame  on  his  mother’s  side  on  the  family  if  needed  .  ❝  sorry  ‘bout  that  ,  the  italian  in  me  is  coming  out  FULL  FORCE.  ❞  he  pauses  and  tilts  his  head  to  the  side  with  a  mild  and  slightly  melodramatic  huff  .  ❝  besides  ,  who  thought  JAWS  and  titanic  are  acceptable  movie  to  watch  mid  storm  in  the  water  ??  that’s  asking  for  people  to  be  scared  shitless  .  mini  golf  is  just  more  fun  and  i  think  you’re  scared  that  i’ll  kick  your  ass  so  there’s  that  .  ❞

the delay in docking was an inconvenience to everyone, but haeil was particularly annoyed by it. he thought he’d be off by now, doing anything else, and instead he was working overtime in the casino for those trying to pass the time. the shift dragged more than usual, and once his freedom was restored he decided to catch a showing of whatever movie happened to be playing. 

by the time he grabbed popcorn and snacks, he realized that the movie was over half way through. what was worse is that it was the titanic. “isn’t it kinda distasteful to show this movie while we’re on a ship?” he whispered to the person next to him. “especially when there’s a storm bad enough to keep us at sea for a few extra days going on. it just feels like something you shouldn’t do, like saying ‘macbeth’ in a theater.”

HORIZONHQ’S OPENING EVENT , THE STORM.

the ship was ready to dock in SUVA , FIJI , and the passengers were ready to get off and enjoy the island. however , overnight a storm hit and they were UNABLE to dock in fiji , missing an entire TWO DAYS worth of docked time. this means the activity directors had to work extra hard to plan for the guests to be on the ship for two more days than they were supposed to be. thankfully , CAPTAIN WALSH is forgiving , and is allowing the employees some free time between their now doubled shifts , and despite the rainy decks and someone bumpy waves as they finish passing through the storm , the employees are utilizing these TWO DAYS at sea before they make their way toward new zealand. two extra sea days that were meant to be dock days means special , back up move events at the theater , top deck RAINY mini golf ( despite the top deck being CLOSED ) , and sneaking into closed pools if you’re daring enough. hopefully they can avoid being driven crazy by work for two days and find some time to enjoy the ships IMPROMPTU SEA DAY ACTIVITIES ! 

         x EVENT BASICS: they weren’t supposed to be at sea for two days , but are now stuck at sea thanks to a storm ! this is a bit of a mix between an event and a plot drop and features the workers having to deal with extra shifts but also allows them to do some fun activities such as movie specials, sneaking around the ship, venturing the CLOSED top deck, and other events regardless of the storm they’re passing through. the ship is rocky & the passengers are likely irritable , so feel free to be creative with how your muse responds !            x EVENT TIMELINE: it beings with opening at 7:00 PM EST and will end in two days, so on THURSDAY at 7:00 PM EST.           x EVENT TAGGING: please use the tag hzevent1 to tag your event related STARTERS , and use the hzstart tag as well ! because the event is so BASIC and can be worked easily into any starter , all starters from opening to thursday night should be event related.
