Have you considered reader comforting Aki if he has nightmares of his family’s death/darkness devil or devil related etc bc our boi needs some good ol’ TLC too and deserves the world and more☺️

I think aki wakes up from bad nightmares quite often. it's sort of something he's come to expect at this point. he wakes up to his heart pounding in his chest, his muscles tense, but when he turns over and sees you lying beside him, sleeping peacefully, he immediately starts to calm. he doesn't want to wake you up, your sleep is important. so he'll just silently wrap his arms around your waist, holding you tightly and tugging you close. listening to the sounds of your deep breathing and feeling the warmth of your back against his chest is usually enough to lull him right back to sleep.
sometimes, though, aki can't keep from waking you. it's usually on the nights where his nightmares are the worst, when he jolts awake, his body drenched in sweat. you'll awake to the sound of the sink running, to the light turned on in the bathroom. when aki settles back into bed, you're turning over to look at him. nightmare? you ask sleepily. you always know him so well.
aki nods, reaching to brush messy strands of hair from your face, and you cup his face in your palm, rubbing his cheek with your thumb. aki can't help but lean into your touch. your tired voice reassures him, telling him it was just a dream, and everything will be okay. aki sighs deeply; your touch and your familiar voice always put him at ease. it isn't long before aki's calmed, wrapping his arms around you and whispering a quiet I love you before he drifts off to a peaceful sleep.
