I have a book idea that I'm very excited about, but it's very dark and deals with extreme forms of mysoginy (as is the premise). I wrote one scene out as just a lore exploration and let my SO read it. He put it down after reading and stared at the wall for a good few seconds in silence and went, "wow, that was good but that was not fun to read."
