Ali Ibn Abi Talib [رضي الله عنه] said:

وما تخفيه في صدرك واضح عند الله ، ويكفي الله الجميع.
And what you hide in your chest is clear to God, and God is enough for everyone.

Why is it called "Ramadhan"?
The word "Ramadhan" (رمضان) comes from the word "Ramad" (رمض) which literally means "burning".
Imam Qurtubi said :
❝It was named "Ramadhan" because it burns the sins of people with good deeds.❞
[Tafsir al-Qurtubi, vol. 2, page 271]
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“My son, do not let your past carelessness make you lose hope of achieving good, for many people have come back to wakefulness after long sleep.”

Translation:
“He whom knows himself works on bettering himself rather than bettering others flaws”

وإذا لم نتمكن إلا من رؤية ما هو أبعد مما نعرفه، فسوف نملأ بالامتنان للحياة التي ندين بها
