AMOS S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 9

SCRIPTURE:
“If they dig deep into the earth or climb to the sky, I'll reach out and get them." ~ Amos 9:2 "I'll plant your roots deep in the land I have given you, and you won't ever be uprooted again. "I, the Lord God, have spoken!" ~ Amos 9:15
OBSERVATION:
I can run...
...but I cannot hide...
What He plants cannot be uprooted...
...though I still have to tend what He has planted...
The refrain throughout this chapter is "He, the Lord God, has spoken!"
Am I listening?
APPLICATION:
Quit running...
Tend what He has planted...
Listen to what He says!
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father - I pray Your forgiveness for my attempts to hide my willful disobedience from You - for failing to properly attend to the grace and mercy and message You continue to reveal to me in spite of myself, for failing to listen deeply to the Word and the thing You say through It and the Holy Spirit... Thank You for Your kindness and love and acceptance as shown and lived out by Jesus - May I remember and live the remembrance that You are the Lord, and that I am Yours - in Jesus's Name, and solely for Your glory and honor and praise...
For Him... for you... for yours...(Today wraps Amos... on to Obediah [one chapter] and the Jonah?)
