As easy as slaying demons was easy for him, for Kagome it was dangerous, ESPECIALLY in this state. Kagome should have stayed in village, where she would be close to Sango and Kaede. 

“I shouldn’t have brought you with me..” He could just see it now, he would be an awful father. “I’m not going to be any good at this.. you know that right? I can’t even keep you safe and warm.”

It was hard to believe that a little girl could glare at others with that much of venom behind her large, seemingly innocent eyes. Gritting her teeth, she surveyed her three opponents before pointing an accusatory finger at them, her tone threatening. “You broke tower! Fix now, or else... trouble” she growled, making sure to say the last word in a snarl. Three year olds could be truly terrifying when angered. 

Two out of the three other children, hurriedly began to reassemble the destroyed tower out of pure horror of the little girl. The third, however, didn’t seem so pleased. Little Karin failed to notice that and could only stare at the boy wide eyed as he raised a building block, ready to fling it at her to preserve some of his wounded dignity. She could only let out a gasp as he brandished the weapon at her. She closed her eyes and covered her head...however, the impact never came. 

Slowly, her large eyes fluttered open to see someone her own size stand before her, arms spread out, wincing slightly as the block lay next to him. Had this boy saved her? She went to stand beside the fair haired child and peered at him worriedly. “What happen..?” she mumbled softly, staring at him, her mind not developed enough to comprehend it all. “You okay?”
