What do you think about those really bad mischaracterizations that people did back in 2020? (Regarding DSaF and DaveSport)

It bothered me enough *BACK THEN* to turn me away from dsaf fanfic entirely, unfortunately. I was mostly on wattpad (glances at kebab fic) and the feminization of Jack really ticked something in me (dysphoria) and I never got back around to reading dsaf fanfic since then. Including on ao3, even though I’m sure it’s better nowadays. I’ll read fanfics by mutuals, and I recently read the singular Steven/Dave fic with more than 3 words in it but that’s it

That aside, I largely don’t care ‘cause I’m not 12 anymore, and that was over half a decade ago. If I do, I keep it to myself or in dms. I find the 2020 mischaracterizations more nostalgic than anything. I try to enjoy the games more than I enjoy getting worked up over what other people are doing, depending on what you consider a horrible mischaracterization. I have moral grievances with certain portrayals obviously but as far as someone putting Jack in a cottagecore getup goes, I really truly have bigger issues lol. I’ll do it myself, actually
