I appreciate that people ask if they can use my fully drawn out backgrounds, but a part of me cannot help but be annoyed and a bit angered by it too… 

‘Hey, can I use this background you probably took days if not a week or so to perfect and finish for this simple thing I am working on so I don’t have to do my own background, and I get it for free? Thanks!’ 

Ya know, instead of paying me or giving me some form of compensation for it…Credit is nice and all, but when you hit a certain age and have bills to pay you want more than just credit for something you did. You mean to tell me you think these are better to just have free for your use given the hours/days/weeks I poured into them: 

Also when I say ‘no’ there’s no guarantee the people in question won’t just download it and try to cut out a part that doesn’t have the watermark just so they can use it themselves… 

A part of me is scared to even do a google image search; especially for the wintry scene as that one has been asked for the most… 

Guys, art is hard; especially for me. My depth perception is a mess only having one good eye, my mind doesn’t exactly work well in terms of trying to pull something in a certain pose without some form of aid and when it comes to backgrounds, I usually have to mish and mash ideas together till something good comes along keeping in mind that lighting can change depending the sun and or moon or whatever else is going on and all of this is done not with a tablet or a piece of paper but with a simple computer mouse… 

Yes, I don’t use a tablet to do art—it’s all done by mouse and computer mainly because it’s what I am used to. 

Instead of asking for shit for free how about asking where an artist’s commission sheet is next time? That grants you far more respect in my eyes.
