"I existed" - Hello my old heart

"Nothing lasts forever." "Some things aren't meant to be."

"I existed" - The swamp where I live

"It feels silly, but I want to draw my favorite places as how they look now in my town before it becomes too late and deteriorates too much.

"In the heart of a forest, shrouded in mist, Lies a swamp where the sun seldom kissed. A place where whispers cling to the air, And shadows dance with a ghostly flair.

The swamp, a keeper of memories drowned, In its depths, lost stories are found. Of love that was, and dreams that died, In its embrace, they quietly reside." "So here I stand, in this melancholic scene, Feeling a part of it, yet apart it seems. For in its sadness, there's beauty profound, In this swamp, where silence has its own sound."

Very few people know of this character, and his name is Edgar. There was a cheesy reason as to why I drew him specifically for this, one of the reasons being that he is blind. He is a man who lives in the past; back when he used to be able to see, no longer knowing how the world around him has twisted to look more and more grim with time, but everything remaining as pretty as back when he had full and partial sight.

Blissfully unaware of how the things he loved turned greyer and more simplistic with time the older he grew.

I really should draw him more often in general.
