Finally talked it out with my friend!!!
We sat around as 3 for 45 mins in our English lesson and talked everything out. My best friend and I hope it will get better from now on!

Neighbours had butterflies in the hallway, in one of those mesh cilinder cages. Probably a kid's science project. Their food ran out after the first day. I pitied them, but was too tired to conquer the stairs again to bring them some food. 4-5 days later, I noticed two butterflies that were stuck on the food plate. The plate with some left over juice from the fruit had moulded over, and the juice had basically become a glue trap.
At first, I only reached in to help them get out of the sticky mess. But before I was even done with that, more of the butterflies flew in to it. Considering how delicate their wings are, this is really really bad for them. I considered leaving them to die, so maybe the kid would learn something about responsibility. I couldn't, though. I brought the cage to a nearby window and gently released them all.
Of course, the next day there was a very angry note on the cage. I was considering not responding, but the person I'm renting a room from wanted me to. So now they have a letter. I only apologised for not first trying to contact them, not for setting the butterflies free. I hope they learn something from the whole experience.
