guys my softball practice was at 8 in the morning and it was 28 degrees fahrenheit and my coach somehow lost his key card so we couldn’t get in the building and all of my stuff was in the locker room 😭 so the whole team was sharing like 5 gloves and 3 helmets and whatever bats were in the shed
as if that wasn’t enough of a sign that MAYBE this isn’t a good idea my coach decided it was the perfect day to bring out the pitching machine and crank it to like 35mph at 20 ft from home plate (sarcastic— this was the SHITTIEST POSSIBLE DAY for it, for my non-player moots that’s really fucking close and the speed feels faster when it’s close so trying to hit was like trying to hit a 50-60mph ball). and then i got hit in the hand by said fast ball and started bleeding but all of the bandages were in the med kit which— surprise!— was inside. so not a great practice :’) my finger is hella swollen but i don’t think it’s broken luckily
