I wrote it one night over Easter, obviously after I’d celebrated the occasion, and seen one list post too many on Facebook .Warning, you may get my lack of love for lists from it. Hey you over there, writing those lists.. Don’t tell me how to deal with my children…I’m learning loads by my mistakes. Don’t tell others what not to say to a stay at home…

I hate travelling because apparently my brainweasels have no idea of the difference between 'yeah we should do something about that now maybe' and 'bro the time to worry about that is when you are at the beastly airport literally two months from now'.

So today I turned 20 years old and I also just hit 2000 followers so there seems to be a lot of two’s and 20′s around so I thought I should write 20 things that I learned before I turned 20. 

School is a good thing. Dont make it your enemy.

You are always going to be your worst enemy and your harshest critic. Be nice to yourself.

7am Jogs are the best. I know they are hard and it’s difficult to pluck up the motivation, but it makes you feel so damn good once you get back in the house, put your feet up, have a cup of tea and go for nice shower. 

You can never have enough tea. There is always a new tea to be found and loved. (said the very British person)

Talking to friends you’ve lost contact with is not scary. They won’t be judgmental. It will be nice to talk with them again. A quick facebook message is all it takes.

Having a couple of nights out here and there where you wake up in the wrong place with a stumping headache and horrible hangover is not going to kill you. It’s fun if you are comfortable around the people you are with and let’s face it, you’ve only got a few more years of being able ot do this left. Ugh.

Say ‘I love you’ to your family as often as you can. 

No one cares if you spend your day off just eating junk food and watching Netflix. Do it. 

Take more walks in the country. If you live in a beautiful place, go out and see it. 

Talk to old people about anything and everything. Even if they are going to tell the same story every time. 

Sing in the shower. I mean it. Really, really go for it! Who actually cares right? Such a good way to get out some stress!

If you love something that other people don’t, keep a hold of it. Don’t let some one else’s judgment make you love it less. It is your’s to love, not theirs. 

Never feel like you have to justify your obsessions, whether they are weird or pretty normal, just go with them. 

Laugh. All the time. Go for it. 

High School relationships do not define your future. 

Never EVER EVER make a promise that you are not completely, whole-heatedly, 100% sure you can keep. If you have the slightest inkling that a promise might not be kept DO NOT SAY IT!

Read. Read. Read.

If you have friends who don’t invite you to things, or they fall out with you over silly little things, or if they can’t say sorry to you. They are not your friends. 

Being alone with little or no friends is always better than having toxic friends. 

Never underestimate the intelligence of a toddler. They are so much smarter than most people understand. 

This helped writing them down. It’s not me giving advice. I just need to think.
