RoosterTeeth is finally shutting down.
I hope the people who worked for them can find better employment and the ones who made it a terrible work environment can learn their lessons before moving on.

You know what's one maddening thing I see mentioned left and right but never talked about directly and as its own issue? The fact that CRW/BY and in particular the writing team have a documented history of lying about the show and aspects of its production. The fact that we cannot trust them at all when they say any part of the show was planned in advance or that something bad happened in/with the show because of miscommunication or that there are going to be X number of volumes total or really anything at all that they tell us.
That's...absurd, right? Admittedly I haven't gotten this into the weeds with the writing and production side of any other piece of media but I feel like it's not normal for the people making a show to be this dodgy with their audience?
There's something incredibly funny to me about how we all thought Glynda was gonna be the one Beacon professor we never saw again because of bad VA blood but then the other two professors' VAs screwed up so hard that Glynda got brought back to be the only one left
RoosterTeeth doesn't get to pretend to care about Black Lives Matter when their most profitable IP has an entire subplot about how racial minorities deserve to be oppressed if they get too uppity about wanting equal rights
None of these fucking corporations are your friends
Miles is apparently no longer an official RT employee but will continue working for them as an independent contractor. Which sucks because his ass needs to be gone entirely but is a good sign that the whole rotten company might go under soon
You know what, with RoosterTeeth having MULTIPLE violent domestic abusers in its upper echelons and their worker abuse, including the abuse and continual layoffs of the teammates and loved ones of a dead man from the last remaining piece of him still alive, constantly getting worse and worse and worse and worse...
I'm so angry right now it feels like there's a bundle of thorns in the pit of my stomach. RWBY may be a special interest of mine but the rage and disgust I feel now thinking about anything to do with this awful, evil company might be the thing to finally break me of it.
Can you imagine that? A level of hatred and disgust so strong that it overpowers my wonky brain's irrational obsession with a show I don't even watch anymore but haven't been able to quit?
Anything good that happens in RWBY from now on is just going to look like a calculated attempt at distraction from the horrors this company, its execs, its talent inflict on people who do not fucking deserve it and I just.
I can't.
I feel sick and outraged and I just can't tolerate anymore.
Michael Quinn, the vice president of product and engineering at Austin-based entertainment company Rooster Teeth, is now facing felony domes
Holy shit
