Friday, Friday, Friday ...
After two days shuffling in and out of the shiny metropolis, I'm quite happy to just close the front door, lie on the floor and generally look at the inside of the house from the viewpoint of the Hairy Horde.
I noticed yesterday that, for the first time in the longest time that my one and only marble can get his spinny little head around, the shops are actually selling off Easter eggs. 'What???' I hear you cry! I know, I know (proffers hot chocolate with marshmallows in to all shocked bystanders) ... and I'm shaking my head in mild bewilderment on your behalf. I mean, let's face it, we all know that once the designated Easter weekend has been and gone, then the bunny comes back, gathers up all the unsold Easter eggs and promptly pokes them back up his fluffy little butt so he can carefully incubate them and re-birth them the following year.
Naturally, I weighed up the risk and decided 'to hell with it!' and I bought a couple to give to friends. At least, that's the plan. But now, I have to keep a close ear out for any kind of oversized shuffling noises behind me and keep my shoes off so I can be aware of any unexpected floor tremors. That Easter bunny is akin to the Terminator ... there'll be no stopping him ... and he'll be on the eggy warpath with only one thing on his butt and mind.
So ... wish me luck ... that I can manage to get the eggs to my friends before the bunny gives me a right old chocolatey beating. (smiles mischievously, raises eyebrow) ... I suppose you may be wondering what might happen to my friends once they have the eggs ... (smiles even more broadly) ... guess they'll just have to eat them really quickly! ;-D
And in the meantime, it must be breakfast time ........ and if a rather fluffy, oversized critter asks you any questions ... 'you ain't seen me, right?' ;-D ...
