👀👀👀 Am I allowed to ask about star continuation, or is that cheating XD Otherwise, Everybody gets a Perch?
You could ask for just about anything and I’d throw it at you as best I could, love.
It’s a second part to Strays! This time from Keigo’s perspective.
“He doesn’t like it when I worry,” Keigo muttered, lifting his arms as directed so Neito could adjust the cape until it was ‘perfect’.
Neito snorted deep in his throat. It was kind of gross. Keiko-chan would make a similar sound sometimes if she thought something was dumb, but hers didn’t sound like she had a really bad cold.
“If he doesn’t want you to worry he should stop sleeping everywhere. He fell asleep in our kitchen! In the fridge!”
Keigo huffed, his cheeks puffing up in obvious displeasure. Neito stomped his foot when the cape was flung around by Keigo’s wings.
“He wasn’t in the fridge, he was just... leaning on the door. He works really hard.”
“If I say sorry will you stop moving?” Neito huffed.
Keigo shrugged but let him re-adjust the costume. He liked being the knight. It made him feel like a hero.
“So?” Neito asked after a while.
Keigo blinked awake. He always fell asleep when they were making new costumes to play with. It was so relaxing and all Neito needed him to do was sit there. He was good at that and Neito didn’t mind if he didn’t talk back or if he fell asleep. The other boy only cared if Keigo didn’t like the costume.
Which was silly.
“So?” Neito asked again, shaking his shoulder this time.
“So what?” Keigo closed his eyes again, happy to fall back into the warm, fuzzy doze.
“So what’s your plan?” Neito demanded. “You have a plan, right?”
Keigo shrugged. “...Kind of. Zashi said he’s gonna make something happen.”
Neito rolled his eyes. “I didn’t ask about your parakeet dad, I asked what your plan was.”
Keigo’s feathers puffed up, his ears going red. “He’s not my dad.”
Neito stared at him, ignoring him like he always did when he mentioned Zashi or Sho-san.
“What. Is. Your. Plan.” Neito poked at him with each word, costume arrangement pushed to the side.
Keigo bit at his lips, pressing the tips of his talons together so they clicked softly. He liked the sound.
He shrugged.
Neito poked him harder. “You have a plan. Don’t lie, I can tell.”
Keigo curled in on himself even further, the red at the tips of his ears flooding onto his cheekbones.
