Music: Hey Alexa, Play Back Door by Stray Kids
Summary: You are a member of Stray Kids. You’d been in the group since debut, and you had an extremely close relationship with the members–they liked you a lot. One day, the company (JYP) thought the group would get more attention if they added another girl, so they brought in a girl named Amy. Amy was a “Pick-me” girl who always dressed skimpy and tried to draw the other members’ attention. Even though Amy constantly claimed she was more attractive than you, you’re actually better-looking. While the members gave moments with Amy in front of the cameras, they’d step away from Amy as soon as the cameras turned off.
Scene:
You and the members were filming “SKZ Code” and eating, when Amy suddenly turned to you and said this:
“Eat less, pig,” she said, and everyone was shocked.
The words hit you like a punch to the stomach. The room went dead silent, Plates clattered. Chan choked on his drink, Felix froze with the fork halfway to his mouth, and even Jeongin’s eyes widened in disbelief.
You blinked, too stunned to speak.
Seungmin’s chair scraped against the floor as he stood, his expression darkening in an instant.
“Excuse me?” he said, his voice low but dangerous. “Did you just call Y/N that?”
Amy smirked, leaning back, clearly enjoying the shock she had caused. “I’m just telling the truth. Someone has to keep her in check.”
Minho scoffed, shaking his head. “Keep her in check? Are you serious?”
Changbin’s fists clenched, his jaw tight. “Who do you think you’re talking to?”
Hyunjin, usually graceful and composed, leaned forward, eyes narrowing. “We don’t take that kind of talk lightly.”
You felt your stomach twist—not from hunger, but from a surge of anger and embarrassment. You had spent years proving yourself, earning respect, and yet this girl, who had joined only weeks ago, dared to humiliate you in front of everyone.
Felix stood, trying to calm the situation. “Amy, that’s enough. You can’t talk to her like that.”
But Amy’s grin only widened. “Or what? They won’t mind, right?” She gestured vaguely at the group. “They’ll just… smile and move on. That’s what everyone does.”
Seungmin’s hand gripped the edge of the table so tightly his knuckles whitened. “You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into,” he said, his tone warning rather than asking.
Amy laughed lightly, tilting her head. “Oh, I think I do. I know what I’m capable of. And I know I’m better than her. Every single one of you knows it, too.”
You had had enough. Your hands shook—not from fear, but from suppressed rage. “Better than me?” you said, your voice rising. “Better than me? Look at yourself! Do you think calling me names makes you better? I’ve been here since day one, I’ve earned everything I have, and I don’t need anyone to validate me with insults.”
Amy’s smirk faltered slightly, replaced by a flicker of annoyance. “You’re delusional.”
But before the tension could escalate further, Seungmin stepped closer, placing a protective hand on your shoulder. “Stay out of this, Amy,” he said softly to you, then firmly to her, “Or you’ll regret it.”
The room seemed to shrink. Amy laughed again, a high-pitched, taunting sound. “What? You think you can protect her?”
“I don’t think,” Seungmin replied, his gaze unwavering. “I know.”
Before you could react, Amy lunged forward, her hand aimed at your face. Reflexively, Seungmin caught her wrist mid-swipe, twisting it behind her back. Amy screamed, flailing, but Seungmin’s grip was iron-strong.
“Get off me!” she yelled, twisting violently.
“Stop!” Chan stepped in, while Changbin and Han moved to block any escape. “You’re done here, Amy.”
Amy’s eyes blazed with fury. “You can’t make me leave!”
“You’re not here anymore,” Seungmin said, his voice cold, each word like steel. “We’re done tolerating you. From now on, you’re gone. Do you understand?”
For the first time, Amy’s confident facade cracked. She glared at the group, but there was fear in her eyes now. Even Felix and Hyunjin’s usual smiles were replaced by hard stares.
A moment later, the company staff arrived, called by Minho during the commotion. After a tense discussion, Amy was escorted out. She kicked and yelled, but the members remained firm. The girl who thought she could disrupt your family, your group, had no place here.
Once the doors closed, the tension broke slightly. The members gathered around you, each offering quiet words of reassurance. Chan ruffled your hair. “Are you okay?” he asked.
Changbin nodded. “Don’t let anyone ever talk to you like that. Not Amy, not anyone.”
Hyunjin, still standing close, offered a small, supportive smile. “You’re stronger than she’ll ever be. Never forget that.”
Seungmin’s hand lingered on your shoulder, grounding you. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said softly. “No one’s going to hurt you while I’m around.”
Your chest tightened, emotions swirling. You had always known the members cared, but the intensity of Seungmin’s protective aura, his unwavering gaze, made your heart skip. It was more than friendship—it was something deeper, something unspoken until now.
After a moment, he guided you to sit beside him again. The group slowly returned to eating, trying to recapture the normalcy that Amy had shattered, but the air was different now. You could feel the solidarity, the unspoken promise that you were one of them, fully accepted, fully loved.
As the night went on, Seungmin stayed close, occasionally brushing your hand or offering a soft comment that made you laugh. The others noticed, exchanging knowing glances.
Later, in the quiet after filming, you found yourself alone with Seungmin in the practice room. The faint hum of the building surrounded you, a cocoon of safety.
“You okay?” he asked, his tone gentle but still carrying that protective edge.
You nodded, but the tears you had been holding back finally slipped. “Yeah… thanks to you.”
He shook his head, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. “No, it’s not, thanks. You didn’t deserve that. No one does. Especially not you.”
Your hands found his, intertwining naturally. “I just… I didn’t expect anyone to be that cruel. And I didn’t know if… if you’d believe me.”
Seungmin’s eyes softened, a mixture of tenderness and fierce protectiveness. “I’ll always believe you. Always. And I’ll always be here for you. You’re part of this group—part of my life—and no one gets to hurt you. Ever.”
The moment stretched between you, a quiet intensity that neither words nor actions could fully capture. The room felt smaller, warmer, and alive with unspoken promises.
Without thinking, you leaned in slightly. Seungmin didn’t hesitate; he mirrored your movement, his forehead resting against yours. The closeness was electric, the kind that made the world outside vanish.
“I—” you began, but he silenced you with a gentle press of his lips to your temple.
“Shh,” he murmured. “No words needed. Just… us.”
Your heart raced as the reality of the moment settled in. For the first time, you allowed yourself to fully accept it: Seungmin wasn’t just a friend or a protector. He was yours in every way that mattered.
The next few days were a whirlwind. Amy’s departure shook the company, and rumors spread like wildfire. But the members stood firm, united. And you—finally free from her toxic presence—felt a sense of liberation you hadn’t realized you’d been craving.
Seungmin stayed close, never leaving your side during practice, meals, or downtime. Every glance, every touch, was a quiet declaration of what had blossomed between you two.
One afternoon, as the sun dipped low over the city, you and Seungmin found yourselves walking home from the studio, hands brushing until they intertwined naturally.
“You know,” he said, glancing at you with a soft smile, “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.”
You tilted your head, curiosity sparking. “Do what?”
He stopped, taking both your hands in his. “Tell you how I really feel. Show you that you mean everything to me.”
Your breath caught, a mixture of excitement and nervousness. “Seungmin…”
He didn’t hesitate. He leaned down, capturing your lips in a tender, heartfelt kiss. The world around you melted away—the stress, the tension, the drama with Amy—it all disappeared. All that mattered was him, and you, together at last.
When you pulled back slightly, your foreheads resting together, he whispered, “I love you. I’ve always loved you.”
A smile spread across your face, the warmth in your chest spreading like wildfire. “I love you too,” you admitted, finally letting yourself be vulnerable.
And just like that, amidst the chaos and the shadows that once threatened to invade your world, you found light. A love that was fierce, protective, and unbreakable. A love that would endure, no matter who tried to stand in its way.
The members of Stray Kids didn’t need cameras to prove their loyalty—they showed it every day in subtle gestures, quiet laughter, and unwavering support. And you, finally, were a part of that family completely, standing beside Seungmin, the boy who had always been there to protect you.
No, Amy, no interruptions, no doubts—just the warmth of the people who truly mattered and the undeniable truth of your love.
