(Throws another space fact at the people)
Did you know, that if you replace the sun with a black hole of equal mass, the black hole would not suck everything into it?
This is due to it, well, having the same mass as our sun.
The planets orbits in our solar system would remain largely unchanged, the biggest difference with this replacement being how much colder everything would get, meaning Earth would become unhabitable due to the lack of the sun's heat.
i just remembered earlier i happened to be looking out the front window of my house and saw a meteor falling... it was green...
Is a white hole actually a thing? im sorry I'm stupid ahfkgjajdakd the farthest I ever got in science was googling why the sky is blue
nono you’re not stupid at all! space and physics just happens to be my area of study (and i love talking about space dw!!)
white holes are the theoretical opposites to black holes! there’s no actual evidence that they exist, though, and they violate almost all known laws of physics. white holes would, theoretically, spew matter and energy. it doesn’t make sense, though, because where would all the matter and energy come from?
even if they were to exist, you would never be able to get into a white hole, just like you would never be able to get out of a black hole – all the spewing matter and energy would act as a physical resistance (not to mention spacetime would behave very strangely in the context of general relativity)
Just watched the Artemis launch... how cool :)
I kinda wanna be an astrophysicist, but I also want to take cool pics of cars for a living
i still can’t be;eive we finslly have hi-def pics of Pluto!!! and it’s got a freaking herat-shaped aarea!!! and space is so cool and exciting and aaaahhhhh!!
