thinking a lot about autistic izukus lately and hypothetical reasons inko might not have gotten him a diagnosis/support by the time of canon (warning that not all of these are happy):
inko who loves her son so so much and can only really see all the ways he is wonderful and unique, and ends up kind of missing all the ways he is struggling
inko who also struggles with socialising and emotional regulation and the world just being too Much and honestly assumes this is just what it feels like to be alive. so it never occurs to her that her son might need additional support
inko who loves her son so so much and knows the world is very cruel, and knows there is probably Something there but is afraid to have one more sign that he is different attached to his record forever. so she pushes the thought down and tells herself everything is fine (she's good at that)
