i like the idea of volga recognizing link's strength, knowing that link is one of the most powerful - if not the most powerful - warriors in their midst, and actually enjoying it. oh, he'd hate it at first. despise him, even. but eventually-- eventually he'd see him as a challenge and a goal, and after they get closer, maybe even seeing it as something to benefit from.

i can imagine him appreciating the idea of having such a powerful mate. of even taking pride in it!!

i like the idea of them having huge respect in each others strengths, but being able to challenge each other too. neither of them bows to the other, they both butt heads and kick each others ass and grin about it afterwards.

i like the idea of volga just /scoffing/ when someone tries to underestimate link and talk down his strength. his mate? like hell.
