all-in-all, i feel like watching Good Omens is kind of like bathing in full-on 2003 fandom nostalgia, with all of the joys and attendant problems that... that scenario brings to mind.

the modern-day setting makes no sense as it’s an extremely analogue story. has anybody in this show other than newt ever seen a computer before?

i hate everything about Shadwell ending up with a woman he has constantly insulted, once she has toned down her manner of dressing and retired from being a sex worker/medium. i mean, i hate all of Shadwell’s plot really (what is the point of him at all??????????????????) but that bit is just. wow. MADAME TRACY DESERVED BETTER.

sooo many of the plot machinations were clumsy and confusing. it was honestly like they were just killing time until they could get back to the bits we all care about, aka aziraphale and crowley. which were extremely fun and lampshading the queerness without ever actually... you know. committing to anything. which, you know. is also kind of what you’d expect from something that feels like it was made 15 years ago.
