On Kawara's daily artmaking practice did generate a lot of data. Now the Tama Art University Library has released their On Kawara Db, a digitized database of their collection of Kawara publications. This includes all 16972 pages of 24 volumes of the artist's daily record of when he got up, where he went, who he met, and what he read. And a couple hundred Today Series date paintings. And a couple hundred telegrams letting people know he was still alive. The On Kawara Db is a very On Brand conceptual tribute.
I had a dream last night that I owned and ran a music store. We sold cds, vinyl, t-shirts, jackets, and patches/studs/spikes. We also organized carpool busses for people in the area to go to concerts that are further away. One of the concerts was a Volbeat one and I was right in front of the stage. I was wearing some shirt that said "I ♡ Michael Poulsen" or something and he noticed in the middle of a song and winked at me. Then when the concert was over, they did their freebies thing where he tosses sweat (?) towels out to the crowd and I got one. Then after getting back to the store, I made some little shadow box display thing to have it on the wall. A few weeks later, Volbeat actually comes into the store because they were on their way back and had some tradition where they stop at music stores to buy little-known-bands' albums. So they posed for a picture with me and my employee so that I could hang it on the wall next to the towel. Idk, I thought it was a cute dream. Kinda want to run a music store now ngl
I had a dream last night that I met Chris Evans in New York during Christmas time and he helped me carry a box of gifts to my job. (I don't live in New York and idk what this job was). We got in the elevator to take it to my work's floor and we started talking about books and I told him about one of my story ideas and somehow he ended up saying something like "write your story and when it's a movie, I'll play the part of one of the knights" because I had asked earlier if he would ever consider doing a medieval role. Anyways, we became friends, started exchanging gifts of books for holidays and birthdays. These books were usually secondhand books we found and enjoyed. We'd underline our favorite parts, write in the margins, and stuff like that. Then he asked about my bookplate stamp that I put in each of them and asked me to make him one. Eventually I finish writing my story and got a couple copies printed. I gave him an early copy for Christmas along with his own bookplate that features a medieval knight. He was VERY excited to read my book and was super giddy like a little kid on Christmas. Anyways, it was super wholesome and now I want to work on my story that I had given him in the dream. (Which is an actual story idea that I have).
