My girlfriends ganged up on me last night, gave me a bunch of love marks, and played with me until I came 😵💫😵💫😵💫
the nurses at work have been so nice to me this week. just going out of their way to compliment me and tell me how much they love having me there
What’s your favorite radiohead song? 👀
It's How to Disappear Completely. Sometimes people expect so much, they tell me I can achieve goals I never thought I could. Even though I appreciate people's support, the thought of "what if I fail?" is eating me alive, and all I want is to disappear and to pretend I never existed.
Well, it’s official… I’ve finished watching Hunter x Hunter.
This show has truly been one of the best things for me and such an amazing experience to witness for the first time. 148 episodes and 4 months later, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Those who know me know that I don’t really become emotional or anything when absorbing media (eg. reading books, watching shows, etc.), and it takes A LOT for me to cry. This show came DAMN NEAR CLOSE, especially when Leorio and Gon reunited, Gon and Killua said goodbye, and with all of the flashbacks that were played over the last two episodes. It felt like I had just watched my own children grow up, and I had to say goodbye to some really good friends that I made. I became so emotionally attached to this show, and I’m not mad about it. In fact, I think that is just such a beautiful thing.
I couldn’t be more grateful for this show and everything it’s done for me. It sounds absurd, but this anime genuinely brought me closer to friends, helped me rekindle my writing inspiration, and has even helped me develop my own new writing ideas. It’s reminded me of my goals with being an author, and how I want to publish books that will bring people as much comfort as this series did for me. Everyone has their moments where they just need something to reignite the spark, and to bring back the inspiration they’ve been lacking. Hunter x Hunter was this for me.
I really can’t believe it’s over, but I guess all things must come to an end eventually. I did happen to get Volume 33 of the manga, so I suppose it’s not really over yet. But I think it’s safe to say it’s not quite the same, or at least, not for me.
Regardless, I’m incredibly grateful that my friend introduced me to this show and that I’ve become a part of this fandom. I’m so excited to get more into the fandom content (which I absolutely love, by the way), meet more members of the fandom, and hopefully share more of my own content in the future. Even if I’ve finished the show, I’m not finished with this fandom. This is only the beginning of the journey, or, I suppose, the Departure.
Thank you Yoshihiro Togashi for being the amazing author and artist that you are, and for bringing Hunter x Hunter to life. Here’s to what the rest of the journey will bring!
This single pic brought me more joy than I’ve felt in days and I just really need to acknowledge how much I love this adorable boy. 🥰
