He’ll scratch his head, embarrassed 

"Ah…you really think so !?"

He genuinely doesn’t think about his appearance.

It'll sink in hours later mid-conversation lol

"…Handsome means good-looking, right?"

He's not used to that kind of compliments.

But a smile stays on his face throughout the whole day!

That bby he would certainly blush !!

"Thank you… "

He’ll treasure it.

And return the compliment ofc it’s Gon we’re talking about!

The moment those words leave your lips, they stay in his mind like a gift in his memory, just kept for him.

Then it clicks.

He’ll face away hiding his blush, hands in pockets feigning nonchalance. 

"What does it have to do with anything? Stop speaking nonsense!"

Oh you broke him (that cutieeee)

"Tch… don’t say that again."

No thank-yous. No nothing.

He’ll pretend to go help Gon with something. 

But internally he’s shaken. 

He checks his reflection later.

Not because he believes you, but because he’s confused.

He stares at himself and mutters, wondering.

"...Handsome, huh..."

Then looks away fast.

He’ll eventually thank you, but Killua's still our nonchalant boy, so he wouldn’t say it directly while looking at you.

He’ll just pass by muttering a small "Thank you…i guess."

So long after that, you’d already forgotten you complimented him.

But on his side tho… he didn’t forget.

In fact, it stayed stuck in his head the entire day until he found the courage to address it again. 

"Oh! Killua what happened to you? You’re red. Did someone slap y- "I AM NOT !"

He thinks he misheard.

He asks you to repeat it once.

He's straightening his suit, laughing, and oh he’s loud again.

A smile so big it nearly reaches his ears lol 

"Ah… about time you noticed. I was losing hope in you, hehe."

He thinks he’s worldwide handsome now.

And he’ll argue about it with ANYONE. (yh even Jin)

*sigh* "Being handsome has its cost though, you know…"

Dramatic "main character" moment is it…?

Deep down, it made him very happy.

He probably replays it in his head. It touched him very deeply, especially coming from you. 

Though, he won’t stop bragging about it, even days later…

He genuinely gaslights himself into thinking it boosted his confidence for interviews lol.

"Clearly it's working. I radiate charisma."

Someone need to tell him to stop...

"Guess I’ll have to live up to that reputation now."

He blinks looking at you.

He also thinks he misheard, but then it clicks. 

His eyes don’t leave you. He doesn't answer yet but he's observing, processing your words.

He’s INTERNALLY PANICKING not knowing how to react, his expression betrays nothing, as he's still processing.

But a dangerous blush creeps onto his cheeks.

So much so that you think he might just explode.

His eyes flash scarlet for a split second.

Not from anger but from emotional overload.

He’d be embarrassed if you noticed.

Then he abruptly looks away.

"I’m the only one in front of you, so…I’m assuming it’s directed at me ?"

He avoids your gaze for some time, just to look back in your eyes again.

Polite nod.

"Thank you…I’ve never been told this before. Y…You’re pretty too."

He gives you a genuine smile.

And just like Gon, he treasures it deeply. 

For someone that never really cared about appearence, today it mattered.

"Beauty is subjective. Yet... they said it so naturally about me..."

𝑰𝑳𝑳𝑼𝑴𝑰 𝒁𝑶𝑳𝑫𝒀𝑪𝑲

"..."

He stares. 

Staring. Completely still. 

Those unnerving, hollow, doll-like eyes stay fixed on you, as if swallowing the light around you. 

He stares so long you start to lose hope of getting any reaction out of him. 

Then he speaks, in that same detached tone, yet surprisingly pleasant voice.

"Hmm…interesting. Usually people don’t live enough to compliment me."

Then he stares again. 

"You’re bold. But that comment was unnecessary. Do I look like I needed it ?"

He turns on his heels, those luscious long hair swaying as he walks away. 

No thank-yous. Nothing.

Then he comes to a stop. 

He doesn’t even turn to look at you properly, if not only shooting a glance over his shoulder. 

"Theoretically…you’re not bad to look at either."

And with that he’s gone. 

Yes he said "theoretically"… 

"Be careful saying things like that. Someone might misunderstand your intentions."

You’re on his radar now. 

He thinks of you as a potential ‘something’ now, less like another face in the crowd.

Later he’ll casually appear again.

𝔾𝕆ℕ 𝔽ℝ𝔼𝔼ℂ𝕊 First of all, you would have to be really good friends with Gon for him to fall in love with you. In my mind, he’s 100% a demisexual— he wouldn’t just fall in love with just anybody or someone he just knows casually. He doesn’t really do love at first sight or be interested in someone just because you are attractive. Personality matters more to him and you would need to be Killua level close to him or something. Moving on from that, Gon isn’t the type of person to be loud or fall in love dramatically— it’s slow and it’s a slow realization of “Your my close friend” to “I want to spend my life with you.” Wherever he goes, mountains, rivers, towns— it wouldn’t feel as exciting to explore without you. You’re his person, his go to friend and lover. It reminds me of this lyric from the song called ‘Anyone Else But You’ by The Moldy Peaches. “You’re a part time lover, and a full time friend” would perfectly describe your dynamic with him. He wouldn’t go yelling out “I LOVE YOU!” (though he would if you asked him to) but he isn’t quiet about your relationship either. He’s proud about it and if anyone asks? He’ll answer honestly, no shame. He knows that you love him and that he loves you. That’s all that matters. You wouldn’t notice it since he's so slick with it (with good intentions ofc) but he becomes very present in your life. He likes spending every moment with you— whether it be silly stuff like exploring a forest and him showing you weird insects or more romantic stuff like holding hands while stargazing. Heck even just bed rotting for a while with you is something he would enjoy. This boy is very clingy— but don’t get it wrong! He’s not insecure in the slightest about your relationship with him, he’s actually very trusting and your relationship with him is very secure. If you guys aren't together for a period of time for some reason, he wouldn’t be concerned. Not because he doesn’t care but because he knows you’ll be back and he’ll be there to support you every time. He will always be there for you, just like how you’ll always be there for him. When he loves, it’s not the bare minimum or half assed. He gives you his full commitment because he truly loves you. Overall this boy is just the sweetest <3 _____

𝕂𝕀𝕃𝕃𝕌𝔸 ℤ𝕆𝕃𝔻𝕐ℂ𝕂 Lemme establish that this boy does not fall in love easily. It’s very hard to make him fall for you— he can get attracted by looks, yes. But it’s hard for him to actually love someone, like Gon— you would need to have a Gon level type of relationship with him or similar. He can be very guarded and aware of their intentions from the get-go so he can be cautious at first, and even plain mean at times. The only canon exception to this is his friendship with Gon, Leorio and Kurapika but other than that.. I don’t think theres any other exceptions (correct me if I’m wrong please) I 100% believe he’s a tsundere, not full on but you can tell he’s one. If he feels butterflies in his stomach because of you? He’ll deny it. Killua would deny his feelings for you until he can’t anymore and suddenly he realizes “I’m actually in love with this person.. They’re not just a friend to me..” Once he fully accepts that he loves you though? He loves hard. At first, he might be quiet about your relationship with him, most of your guys friends wouldn't even know about it. But don’t get it all mixed up! He’s very proud to be yours <3 He would also be extremely loyal. You’re his ride-or-die, he would become very protective of you too— Not because he doesn’t think your strong enough to handle yourself. It’s because he loves you and wants to make sure your safe. His version of love is choosing you time and time again. He’s quiet, sometimes he doesn’t know what to say and get’s flustered and embarrassed easily. But when he does say what he feels? He’s blunt in a way that makes YOU flustered. It’s honestly very endearing and everything he does makes your heart flutter. In public, he would be clingy in a subtle way; like intertwining your pinky fingers together, tugging on your shirt or leaning on your shoulder— all the cute subtle stuff. But in private? He’s a whole ‘nother level of clingy. He would be near you 24/7. I am a firm believer that he is a little spoon, he loves the feeling of your touch— he feels so secure and safe with you. He’s an occasional big spoon too! Killua is just a sweetie and he loves you dearly <3 _____

𝕂𝕌ℝ𝔸ℙ𝕀𝕂𝔸 𝕂𝕌ℝ𝕋𝔸 The Kurta would also find it hard to love, harder than some of the others in this list actually. After being the only Kurta to survive the massacre, he felt that he didn’t deserve to have the comfort and love that his clan didn’t get to experience now. He embodies the grief and rage of his fallen clan. Time is also a big factor; being a bodyguard, a zodiac, the head of the Nostrades, while carrying out what your clan would be so emotionally exhausting and time consuming. He wouldn’t have time to love anyone. Or so he thought… After all, love is unpredictable! I’m sure that Kurapika only falls in love after he realizes you’re his safe space. The person he could turn to if things get too hard— and when he realizes that he loves you? He’s wrecked. At first, he might suddenly become distantly polite or keeps you at arms length after realizing this. But.. It isn’t because he hates you— it’s because he cares too much. He struggles to grasp that he’s actually in love and with you. He forgets what it means to be angry, his life long purpose and the grief that he experienced. He feels safe, loved and cared for when he’s with you <3 But he’s terrified, his position could put you in danger and it could be tragic for you both in the long run. He genuinely believes he’s protecting you by not letting you near him.

When he accepts it though.. He’s intense about it in this quiet way that makes you fall in love with him even more. He’s a gentleman and brings you to fancy dinner dates when he has time. He always makes sure to treat you like the princess you are— opening doors, pulling out the seat and making you feel loved. Kurapika just loves to take care of you! He always knows when you’re stressed or feeling bad based on your body language, he basically reads you like a book and he always makes sure to help you feel better. He may not be good at comforting people but he makes up for it by showing up in subtle ways like cooking up something simple that makes you remember home, he stays awake until you fall asleep in his arms and his arms definitely feel like a mother holding you, no buts! He only does this when he’s home and not his usual super tired self that drops to the bed instantly when he gets home— he feels like this very often so so he feels bad he can’t treat you as if you were a princess all the time. In fact you’re probably the one who’s caring for him than him caring for you! Theres nothing wrong with that though— It makes him feel cared and loved for. But.. the guilt eats at him still.. He makes up for this by giving you lots of nice gifts. His gifts are expensive (after all this man is RICH RICH) and thoughtful! It could be something you’ve talked about once and the next thing you know, it would be right in your hands! Kurapika wants to spend every moment he can with you and treat you well. When he dies, he’d rather die prepared and able to say “I hope you find someone good after me.” than “I wish I spent more time with you.” After all— he’s prepared for the consequences of the destructive path he’s chosen. _____

𝕃𝔼𝕆ℝ𝕀𝕆 ℙ𝔸𝕃𝔸𝔻𝕀𝕂ℕ𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋 Let me get this clear, Leorio is a very looks-oriented person at first but without a compatible personality? He wouldn’t be able to have a relationship with the person— I don’t see Leorio falling in love with someone for no reason. Some people make him out as some looks only matter pervert but he’s actually a really sweet guy! When Leorio loves, your relationship becomes an average tiktok couple that you see on tiktok and get jealous of (can you tell that I'm jealous? lol), you both would have to have a healthy relationship before all of the lovey dovey stuff though. Whether it be a friendship or even a friendly academic rivalry in medical school! I’d say after an established friendship and months of the lines blurring between friends to lovers you two would start dating! The best comparison I can make is probably a romcom movie or musical that makes you feel more single than usual. The doctor is very open and loud about his love for you! Not in a cringey second hand embarrassment way but in a way that's endearing. He’s just very proud to have you by his side. Actually, he unintentionally brags about your guys relationship to anyone who’ll listen— when someone teases him about it, he suddenly becomes flustered and quiet like "I said all that?.." (VERY PROUD OF IT THOUGH) He’s like the type of boyfriend to be your gossip friend after work, a homeboy when you need it and a lover when you guys are romantic! He’s definitely a words of affirmation guy, if you feel terrible, he’ll ground you with his words. If you did something good, he would hype you up— no matter how small your achievement is. He’s say something like “YOUR DOING AMAZING DARLING!” He’s just the best guy to talk to, he makes you feel like the only person in the room <3 He’s protective of you in a healthy way; he walks you home (he definitely does the side walk rule), he texts you a lot, he runs to your place after one “I need you.” text from you. And if he doesn’t walk you home he’ll say “call me when you get home, okay?” and it doesn’t feel suffocating at all because he actually trusts you and knows you can protect yourself. He just wants to make sure you’re alright. He’s the type of person to cover your meals because your broke— even when he’s broke himself. He always puts your needs before his. He doesn’t play when it comes to you. He isn’t into the situationship mind games like that— he’s blunt about how he feels, he doesn’t ghost, he doesn’t give bare-minimum. He COMMUNICATES!!! The poor boy knows what it’s like to lose someone— that’s why he loves you honestly, openly and doesn’t waste time when it comes to you. As a doctor, he wants to help people and that includes you. He wants to continue growing with the love of his life. Leorio is the type of person to put both you and his goals first. Two things can both be true after all. He truly loves you and wants you to be in his future— that’s why his plans include you. As long as he’s got you? the world has nothing on him. ══════════════════════ 𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚: Hello! This was really fun to write and I enjoyed it! It only took me a day actually.
