Going back to my roots with this one
' I must ask you this, of someone who seems to know Sinbad personally..... Would he ever forgive the errors done by my family? I know there is much blood on the hands of my father and others, but I want to do so much to fix everything so we don't /have/ to fight. '
f o r g i v e n e s s. a foreign concept; laughable, almost. please, don’t ask about that to a resentful man.
experiences in life make a person, one’s overall constitution - personality, traits, values, even the physical aspect - is based off of the experiences that are faced throughout the years; childhood, along with early teenage years, are perhaps the most vital. and during those, ja’far was met with betrayal, fear and pain (both felt and inflicted by him), lies, and… a strange type of forgiveness shown to him, just once, by the shining king of sindria. however, such feeling is naught he can relate to, let alone encourage; letting situations go, furthermore when hurtful and traitorous actions are involved, through mere forgiveness is not part of his persona. an entity who never forgets that which has been done to him - to t h e m, will never truly know forgiveness.
and yet, here he stands with the eighth princess of the one empire that is responsible for negativity spread across the lands and their people; the very same empire that considers t h a t TRASH an oracle. it’s a few ways off from making him l a u g h at the mere thought. the young princess, perhaps in her ignorance, speaking of peace of sorts between their countries…
w a r is, at times, inevitable. but ren kougyoku… is not at fault, and it’s somewhat painful even to be fully aware of her role in this, of her current position concerning king sinbad and the methods ja’far disapproves of, yet follows nonetheless. this child is but another victim of the world and its vile people, is she not? pitiful.
“as much as i would like to reassure you, princess, i’m afraid that i can only offer you possibilities without solidification… but truth, regardless.” yes, ja’far is indeed close to sinbad, but it is exactly due to that relationship that only blasphemy would be spilled if hope was to be handed over to her. “while sindria does not invade other countries, nor do we seek conflict, you must keep in mind that we are part of an alliance – other matters are at hand, you understand? forgiveness is far from a small action a sole man can take.” there is a pause, as if to silently scold himself for not playing along and give false hope; then again, ja’far isn’t that type of person. leave that to sinbad. “ah, but do not be discouraged. if fight for your beliefs is what you desire to do, then follow through; nothing is written in stone, and fate can make different moves.” in this cruel g a m e.
( for she is strong, and he knows; he can only wish she was not being toyed with, being taken by granted; but not even for this innocent girl will he betray h i m. )
It was when the two rivaling teams were in the same location as each other, arguing with Pokemon battles over who did what. Shelly decided to go and pester the Magma admin, Homura. She did this quite often off and on to get a reaction out of him (which was unsuccessful many times and encouraged her to try harder). She found a way to go behind him, and without warning, smacked him on the rear. Hopefully the reaction out of him was something other than his deadpanned expression.
