i wanna know more about aoc: cryptadia ik it’s in the same universe as aoc but like that’s all i rlly know and i’m so curious bro

so aoc and aoc: cryptadia take place at the same time. both stories are kicked off by the same thing: the knight rosetta. after she shows up and ruin’s akira’s day, she turns around and makes things difficult for not-so-local teens serendipity and kuri. the teens stumble on the fight between kuro akamatsu (akira’s dad) and rosetta. which sets off a big long chain of spoilery events that lead to three additional teens joining adderdeen’s very own night watch, a crew of dedicated weirdos who try and keep their very weird little town safe and unaware of how weird of a town adderdeen truly is.

the main cast of course consists of four people with plenty of their own secrets to hide.

serendipity grace vulcan, a member of the esteemed house chernobog. she’s essentially considered “vampire royalty”. she was sent to adderdeen by her adoptive parents to learn under master alchemist, james emperor. she’s got the most magical know-how of the group, problem is.. she can’t really do magic on her own, which means she has to navigate her abilities as a witch very differently than others. (epic and poggers autism allegory)

prince kuri is the crown prince of itania, a far off planet in the andromeda galaxy! after his home planet becomes a target of the izebellian empire, his mother sends him off to be protected by the high magic council of genesis, who decide to place him under the protection of one james emperor. so james now has TWO little royal teens to take care of! kuri never really had friends his own age back on his home planet, so living on terra gives him the chance to be a teen, even if he’s not used to all this “earth culture weirdness”. PLUS!! HE GET’S A BRAND NEW VAMPIRE BIG SISTER!!

qwynn vandale (yeah that’s really how you spell it) is a monster hunter in training, but if you ask her, she’d leave off the “in training” part. out of a family of six, she and her mom are the only ones who AREN’T werewolves… much to her annoyance. qwynn works her ass off to prove to her family she doesn’t need claws and fangs to take on the toughest monsters adderdeen has to throw at them. but the truth is, he family never thought she had to prove anything at all, they’re already proud of her. qwynn’s story is mainly one of self acceptance. plus.. she really IS a pretty badass monster hunter.

salem “mothman” graves is a perfectly normal human guy and not a huge moth creature. at least.. that is what he is trying very VERY hard to convince everyone in adderdeen of now that he’s a local celebrity as the town’s favorite radio show host. as founder of the adderdeen night watch, mortician, radio show host, AND full time older brother of the antichrist, this guy has his work cut out for him. him and his rag-tag group of misfits have the duty of keeping everyone living in a supernatural hotspot from learning the truth about the world they live in.

i always talk about these four characters more than the story itself because the story IS these four characters. all their crazy nonsense adventures and their friendship is what this story is truly about. and boy.. do i have my hands full trying to tell all those stories. wouldn’t give it up for anything though. it’s a story that ought to be told.
