getting sad about Castoria, again, for like the third day in a row.

I know this is my Shipping Goggles = On reading, but she really did love us, didn't she. Enough to leave her other self, Artoria Avalon, behind to help us, or maybe just so we wouldn't feel so sad over her. Because AA is born from that bond, that's why she comes off as a little more forward and honest (as if Castoria could ever be honest) at least in her relationship with Guda, with lines like "Master is my life."

AA isn't really the Castoria we traveled with, that girl is gone and we couldn't save her. (I imagine that Guda sometimes has trouble interacting with AA because of that - could you even look her in the eye when you're still guilty and grieving over failing to save her other self?) But she is living, breathing proof that she was loved and loved in return. She reached the star she was searching for and then left a piece of herself behind to help you on your journey.

is it any wonder that thinking about her for more than 5 seconds leaves me feeling like this:
