So, the thing about adoption aus/father figures...
In theory, Weiss would absolutely love a genuine father figure. But in actuality, it scares her. She’s been abused, scorned, and manipulated her entire life. Even if she realistically knows this person isn’t like her biological father, she hasn’t known any other way of life. She’s never been giving proper care or reassurance. She’s still a child, despite how she appears. Her fears will cloud interactions for a long while. But given time, she will warm up.
