1. Laurais the version of Theresa that Leon would have liked. Which might be becauseshe’s got the compensatory job you give to people you couldn’t make yourrunning mate.
2. The sugaricing of the hugs and kisses on the cheek doesn’t do enough to hide the factthat she lives in a gingerbread house in the woods. Laura is so nonchalantabout it that Leon is both appalled and admiring. It’s like watching atrainwreck being played backwards in slow motion.
3. WhenLeon was first foraying into elections, he watched a lot of old footage to get the feel of his new role. Aside from theobligatory John Glenn tapes, he has spent far too long in a room with aprojector and years of Laura going to rallies for her father.
