Long time American soul and R&B legend Swamp Dogg, aka Jerry Williams, Jr., has teamed up with one of our favorite musicians, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, on his new song I’ll Pretend. The single will be on Swamp Dogg’s new Ryan Olson-produced album ‘Love, Loss, and Auto-tune’ out September 7th on Joyful Recordings. Swamp Dogg may have been around an incredibly long time, but he’s certainly not lost his genius touch and musical wit. The celebrated artist radically re-invents classic soul and R&B on I’ll Pretend, an intensive experience exuding much tormented loneliness from within its bluesy guitars and vocoder treated vocals (so often associated with Justin Vernon tracks).  Swamp Dogg describes I’ll Pretend as a character study about “a guy sitting in a restaurant by himself losing his fucking mind because he’s hoping his woman is gonna walk by, but she's at a Ramada Inn somewhere fucking somebody else to death."
