i've been wait-listed for my second choice school, Washington University. i never anticipated this. i never really doubted that i'd get in until recently. everyone was saying that i should be applying to Ivies, and now the only two private schools i have interest in going to are telling me that i'm not really a fit for them. it's really confusing, but i guess i should be fair and realize that I wasn't able to put my best effort into college applications at the time. still, i can't help but wonder what i did wrong, because i've been killing myself over high school and for me to end up at my third choice, a state school, makes everything seem like a waste
