Hello Tumblr!

I'm returning from my winter break to give you some news. First of all, I hope you're all doing well. For my part, I've had quite a bit of work and urgent matters to deal with, which have kept me away from social medias. Hence the delay in the release of TMS, as some of you may have noticed.

I was hesitant to mention it since it's still in the works and it's not something I can show you here, but among other things, I've started working on a new comic book project, completely original, that I'd like to get published (France)! Job hunting is rough in the animation industry these years, and it's an idea I've had for a while, so I've spent the last few months working on it while sending resume and surviving basically. It's a lot of work and I really hope that it will come to fruition (nothing is less certain, haha), but it's very refreshing to do and a great experience overall.

Anyway! What about TMS in all this? Updates should slowly resume this week on Patreon, but they'll be delayed some more on Tumblr, as I'm unfortunately short on time. Part 9 is fully sketched out, but it needs coloring, and I've yet to get started on the next part's storyboard, but I can't allow myself to put it on top of my to-do list for now. Which is quite a bummer, but I'm fairly optimistic that TMS will resume in a few months (spring?).

I hope you'll be there when the series resumes, regardless!

BASICS !

Is your muse tall / short / average?

She doesn’t have a canon height, but she is a tree, and trees grow tall, so... I imagine her being 180cm / 5′9″ on average (not including her leaf), but it may vary depending on... circumstances!

Are they okay with their height?

Yes! She changes it to suit her needs.

What’s their hair like?

Long. And a weird dusty pink? Coarse, thick hair that miraculously never tangles.

Do they spend a lot of time on their hair / grooming?

Nope. 

Does your muse care about their appearance / what others think?

Nope. Her self image is not at all tied to her outward appearance. She’s must less invested in her own appearance than she is in the form of plants she cultivates. Nor does she really have a human sensibility for beauty. But she’s been around for long enough that she can recognize what others might consider beautiful,  even if she senses this in a detached manner.

PREFERENCES !

Indoors or outdoors?  outdoors! Rain or sunshine?  sunshine! Forest or beach?  forest! Precious metals or gems?  neither? both? they call come from somewhere in the ground. Flowers or perfumes?  flowers! Personality or appearance?  personality! Being alone or being in a crowd?  depends on which overwhelms her first; paranoia, or boredom. Order or anarchy?  order! but not law. Painful truths or white lies?  painful truths. Science or magic?  science!! Peace or conflict?  peace! Night or day?  day. Dusk or dawn?  dawn. Warmth or cold?  both. Many acquaintances or a few close friends?  many acquaintances. Reading or playing a game?  reading!

QUESTIONNAIRE !

What are some of your muses bad habits?

She sleeps too much. Even when she physiologically requires zero sleep. When she gets excited, her growth factor goes a little haywire.

What are some fond memories your muse has?

The time during the foundation of the skydoms, where she still had a job to do because she felt useful while having something to work towards.

Is it easy for your muse to kill?

She’ll avoid it if she can, but things like death and dying and killing are just a part of nature.

What’s it like when your muse breaks down?

Best stay as far away from her as possible, because she’ll become a completely incognizant beast that only thinks about slaughter. 

Is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life?

It’s a foreign idea to her. However, it’s far more likely that she would trust someone with her death.

What’s your muse like when they’re in love?

G-good question...? At first, I never really put much stock into her history with Rosetta as a question of love, because I personally conceptualize it as her primal psychological need for a direction. I view Rosetta as someone who inspired a new goal that she created by herself, for herself. Where at first Rosetta was like a project, it later somehow grew into something akin to love. And I guess I should stay on topic, so: when in love, she doesn’t behave much differently than how she is with everyone, really. But she will make an effort to avoid sleeping in the presence of important ones.
