Thank you @saltunafish, this is so lovely! Words can't express how much I love him <3

Words can't express how much I loved this analysis. It fits his personality very well, he's a classical type of bully: once you stand up against him you see it's all smoke and mirrors. Now, I have to disagree on the non violent history: I think in his last journal he says he used to kill to keep his powers on, so I think that while he never acknowledged he grew up in size and gained strength, he was mean from the start.
awww, thank you <3
for a moment I lived in a world where he didn’t do that lmao. *faceplams* dang, you’re right. though, I do think higgs is not needlessly violent, he could have destroyed a whole lot more with amelie’s powers than what he did, considering that he had a headstart on the sixth extinction. fragile was an obstacle that had to be dealt with, and middle knot and south knot were means to stall bridges if not stop them in there tracks.
I have a feeling the only reason they were able to cross the tar belt the first time was because amelie needed to get to edge knot without raising suspicion.
and when he killed those people his motivation was survival, next to being mildly powerhungry. but he didn’t eradicate entire cities in hope of regaining his dooms. I think, I’d say he used to be selfish to a fault, and that was what made him mean, not a drive to be cruel or violent, that was more of a side-effect, cause he didn’t know any better or any other way. no matter how much he did for others, he always looked out for himself first and the only rolemodel he’d had up until then was his uncle, so that was bound to go wrong. hm. I think I went a little on a tangent here.

Unless you're a pedophile or a rapist then your life really doesn't matter
