Other than Wyll, Yassarra was the only other true Warlock that Eve had ever met, so to say that she was intrigued by her, was an understatement. It was nice, also, to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, to just get to talk to someone. Yes, they all had a lot on their plates, and it wasn't as though Eve could just sit around and yap all day with her, but Yassarra fascinated her.
Eve tried not to make a habit of prying, but when one had more experience than you, it was hard not to ask questions. Not to mention she was sure that there was magic and knowledge in abundance that she knew that Eve could only dream of knowing. Things like that made the curiosity fester, and it was hard to keep the questions bottled up anymore.
"How exactly does one choose a patron?" Eve heard herself ask, looking at Yassarra with genuine interest. "Or do they choose you...?"
