I am depicting primarily the first stage, where the world functions more like a strategy game: you build towers, unlock new locations, fend off attacks, and gather resources.

OKAY, so, about "dissapeared"
It is believed that those who are "raring for battle" disappear after reaching level 50 and move on to the second stage. Those who guide others remain at the first level.
Sometimes I’d leave characters at Stage 1 or move them to Stage 2 based on the idea that "it suits them better to be there," rather than following those rules, haha.
