And you'll still have a plot with the same relevance because AGAIN THEY ADD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO IT IS WORTH.

So whenever there's someone who has the galls to say "but they have only 8 episodes!!! They have to choose what to keep!!!" You can safely tell them that the ✨PRECIOUS RUNTIME✨ isn't worth to give depth to your protagonist and her relationships with the other main characters (and one of these main characters is her father, a father she's just recently reconnecting with) but:

So are we all aware of the fact that they're trying to build a gigantic data center in Utah (the ✨ Stratos project ✨) in a place that would absolutely devastate the already-fragile local ecology and domino out into devastating other states' ecology too...?

After local authorities decided to OK the project, despite people coming to the meeting and protesting so much they had to shut the meeting down, the people of Utah spent over $50k in the last day or two, in $15 fees, to file thousands of formal protests.

This data center would consume more than twice the energy that the entire state consumes, would threaten a place that's already in a water crisis, and would raise the daytime temp by up to 5°F during the day and up to TWENTY EIGHT DEGREES FAHRENHEIT during the night, IN THE DESERT. that would create even more evaporation in the Great Salt Lake--which, as it evaporates, releases toxic dust into the air to blow around in the wind into neighboring states--and it would destroy delicate local ecology, kill unique Utah flora and fauna, and impact agriculture. They'd also be burning natural gas; Utah's air quality is already horrific. (if you've ever flown into SLC in the winter you could tell: the air looks like a bowl of gray soup.)

They've backed off, but it's not a win. They plan to refile later, likely in a way that allows them to skirt community feedback completely so that they don't have to listen or care that the people of Utah don't want this. The people who filed protests won't even be reimbursed their $15.

All this to say I think it's absolutely ridiculous that not only are these types of decisions being made without (or in spite of) the input of the local community; they're being made without a vote, and without any input from other folks whom this would definitely affect. You don't want all the domino effects from Utah getting several degrees warmer? (I'm not an environmental scientist but like, I'm pretty sure that would include toxic dust blowing all over the country, more and worse wildfires + wildfire pollution, air pollution in neighboring states, and probably some kind of changes to weather patterns, among I'm sure lots of other things--not to mention it wouldn't snow as much for the winter sports fans. Greatest snow on earth, my eye.) You should be able to have a say too. Not fair that a few AI-pilled white guys should be able to decide it's ok for the country to have a little more toxic dust as a treat. These data centers are a concern for ALL of us.
