Needless to say, when Yugi awoke that morning, he felt very confused. And excited. Sometimes it was hard to tell where his own feelings ended and Atem’s began and he required a moment to work out why he felt this way and that it was Atem who actually felt this way. Yugi pressed his palm against his chest where his heart was still beating madly. His poor body needed to react to two people’s emotions.

“Had a nice dream, aibou?” Yugi asked carefully and received only sullen silence in return in the back of his mind. “Listen, you can’t have wet dreams like this on a school night. It throws my whole morning off.” 

Atem, just as ruffled as Yugi was, remained quiet for the rest of the day, and only allowed himself to replay the dream in his mind when he was sure that Yugi was way too occupied with something to pick up on it. He brushed his fingers over his lips and frowned. Isis had already told him that he was a pharaoh, so he had learned nothing new from the stranger. He only got a confirmation that this man was way too attractive for his own good and that he must have balls of steel to dare kiss a pharaoh this way.
