Dirk Gently hasn't been completely cancelled! (I don't think)

Ok so most people will have seen this (why bbca just why)

BUT that's just that the show won't continue on BBC America, the show can still continue if Netflix figures are good. It looks like they still have people to make it just not to show it (I think, I don't actually know how any of this works I'm just being optimistic).

So we just need to make sure Netflix viewing figures are amazingly good and the show won't get fully cancelled?

the mood today is “baffled at how selfish petty and insecure a fandom can be” and it really is not a good mood. i can’t believe you guys made a mod resign from youkai zine just because you’re afraid they won’t be impartial over—what, less-than-perfectly-friendly past interactions? even tho the applications would’ve been anonymous anyway? i can personally vouch for catsby’s impartiality, hard work, and willingness to give everyone a chance regardless of personal (and entirely non-writing-related) feelings. she wasn’t even the sole writing mod on the team. she was graceful enough to retire so your insecurities could be assuaged and so the zine could avoid “negativity” but that’s kind of too little too late considering she had to do that at all. needless to say all my excitement over this project and desire to apply for it flew out the window.

less competition for whoever set this mess into motion, i suppose. since apparently we’re surrounded by people with the emotional maturity of kindergarteners.

i don’t know who you are but i hope you learn to feel some shame.

AND THOSE WHO WANT TO BAN TOTALLY ANONYMOUS CHILDBIRTH LIKE THE MOTHER WOULDN'T HAVE THE CHOICE ANYMORE TO BE CONTACTED BY THE CHILD LIKE SHE HAS TO BE A MOTHER. EVEN IF SHE DECIDED NOT. SHE OWES NOTHING TO THE CHILD, SHE GAVE HIM UP, SHE MADE A DECISION. IF SHE HAD DECIDED TO KEEP THE CHILD, YES SHE OWES HIM TO BE A MOTHER AND A MUM. BUT SHE OWES NOTHING. SHE REFUSED.
