After the end of their battle, Itadori speaks of some things to Higuruma that she really should not speak of to a man who just tried to kill her. At least in his opinion.
hi! I love your writing! do you have any advice on pacing??
hello!!! thank you!! sorry for the late reply, i was on holiday visiting renaissance castles :D
if you're talking about overall pacing of the story/plot, the best advice i can give you it to just follow your guts.... even if it often makes the story turn 300k words long instead of 50k... if it wants to be that way then let it be that way
if you're talking about writing style more precisely, personally my worst nightmare is to make something feel like it's dragging, and i know it's hard to be able to read what you wrote with a neutral eye. my tips are that when you want to reread something, change the police. it sounds dumb but after spending hours working on a document written in comic sans ms, changing the police to times new roman which looks a lot more sober and literary makes the draft feel very new to your eyes and your brain. reading out loud, i'm told, is also a very good one, since it forces you to read more slowly and therefore makes checking for mistakes much easier, but i'm awful at reading english out loud so i don't do it for fanfiction.
also!!! ALWAYS wait at least a few hours before working back on your draft once you finish it!! have a good night's sleep!!! let it stew!!!! yum yum!
so when you have this whole new visual aspect, with some sleep behind you, you'll be able to spot the pacing issues a lot more easily. like wow, this part sure feels a bit speedy or slow, i should add or remove something, etc. i don't believe that there needs to be a perfect 50/50 of narration and dialogue, i think you can write 500k words of plain narration with zero dialogue and get an amazing piece
(sorry i visited a house where Balzac used to hide in in order to avoid paying his terrible debts and i obviously came out of the souvenir shop with 6 of his books in hand and now i'm only reading Balzac so i am getting very impressive lessons in Narration and Narrative Voice. i am deeply humbled. i might just spend the rest of my life reading the entirety of the Human Comedy)
i also bought all of Rabelais's works but at least i've read some of those before.... and i was already in the middle of reading all 20 volumes of Zola's Rougon-Macquart series... so right now my brain is a mush of zola-balzac-rabelais. i wonder what will come out of that
shaima and her family, whom i have been working with for over a year now, needs funds to keep the room that she and her disabled family members are staying in.
this room is extremely important to them, because shaima's grandmother has alzheimer's and uses a wheelchair, and shaima's 7 year old nephew is chronically ill with a kidney disease. these struggles are hard enough for anyone to deal with on top of experiencing an ongoing genocide and navigating the stressors of this new version of life.
we need to raise a total of $445 by march 03 in order to pay their rent on time. anything and everything helps us - we would deeply appreciate your support!
link to support our friends abroad is here. you will either need a paypal account or a card of some sort to donate money through this link. however, if you encounter any trouble, feel free to shoot an ask or a dm!
please feel free to view our previous rent campaigns here (or check cygnettes.tumblr.com/tagged/shaima!)

The event welcome all forms of work, including but not limited to fanart, fanfic, cosplays, drabbles, headcanons, edits and so on.
I will be reblogging all works. When posting, mention @skk-valentine-week so I can find your work and reblog/interact with it.
Kindly use the tag #skkvalentineweek and #skkvalentineweek26 while posting.
Other tags are to your own discretion, however I do ask that all NSFW works must be tagged accordingly to allow others to curate their feed and filter accordingly.
You may also post your works on the events Ao3 Collection.

hello!! i just wanted to say you’ve been one of my favourite bsd authors the past few years and i’ll always come back to your works when i go on a binge-reread <3 thanks for all your wonderful work!
i just read all your comments yesterday thank youuu so much 🫣 skk will forever be one of my all time otps... i'm so happy that you still enjoy my stories 💓
Hello! Just wanted to let u know that I think it makes absolute sense to write about a topic you’re interested in multiple times, especially in fanfiction! (In all honesty it sounds so obvious reading this that I can’t believe there’s people out there who have a problem with it).
Also I absolutely adore each time you dive into the different ways sexual violence can affect a character. It’s precisely because you write about this topic so interestingly that I love your works!
Thanks for sharing everything you do! I hope you never lose that spark!
aw anon that is such a nice message 🥺 thank you very much and right back at ya.. i hope you never lose your spart either 💓
Hola, maybe you've been asked this question before, but is there still a copy of Aches Like No Thing out there anywhere? You may not know this, but there are many readers who loved ur story when read it years ago and just wish can read It again but we can't find it anywhere
hello! about my old drrr fics, i can send them to you if you contact me by email ([email protected]). however please don't re-distribute the copy to other people once you have it, or repost it anywhere. if other people want it, they can contact me themselves.
looking at my ao3 dashboard you may think i am obsessed with the topic of sexual abuse and i won't deny it yes i am i enjoy writing about it i enjoy writing girls dealing with it... i guess you could say it's a personal trauma thing but i don't think so, i just find it interesting. it makes me enthusiastic to think of my favorite characters encountering sexual violence and to think of how each of them would react to that. i've done it with every single of my fav characters lol. i don't think i'm a freak for it and i know my friends understand that and don't judge me for it so i just hope no one else gets freaked out by the amount of stories i write over the topic
but once again i'm not forcing anyone to read anything and i always put appropriate warnings so if you do read and then feel upset with me for it... well i'm not gonna apologize for you being stupid

I’m still relishing that post from a few month back about books you recommended so may I ask if there’s been any book rec highlights this year?
thank youuu i wish you merry holidays!
i haven't read a lot of books this year i just read homo inc.orporated by sam bourcier but it's not fiction and also idk if it's been published in any language except french. a cool book that gave me tons more refs to watch and read about queer history activism art and culture. rn i'm reading murakami's latest book :( and after that i'll probably read some saint exupéry that i haven't read yet... i have soooo many books to read all piled up everywhere in my room you can't even imagine
don't hesitate to give me book recs too!!! i'm open to any genre i'm the sovereign of buying books at random with no idea what's in them it's how i found some of my favorite stories of all time
i wanna try using xe/xir and ze/hir pronouns. it/its are still my fav but xe/xir are so good. i also love ze/hir because they were leslie feinberg's pronouns... and spivak pronouns (e/em/eir) because those were the first non-gendered pronouns that i used in my life and i think they sound lovely.
so it/its, e/em/eir, xe/xir or ze/hir :) but please not she/her and not they/them
only when someone is acting entitled ("why aren't you updating", "why didn't you write this differently", etc) like people who gives grades to fics in their bookmarks lmao, or people who act annoyed because they didn't understand something
people being super enthusiastic or being shy, or any kind of heartfelt feedback will never make me cringe, even if the person misunderstood something :) i'll only smile and go hehe 🙈 and be happy forever
