What are you doing?
Back when Robin had first joined their crew, quite suddenly, Zoro hadn't really known what to think of her for a while. He could remember the exact turning point, though: It had happened late one night when she and Nami had come bursting into the boys' room in a bit of a frenzy.
"Luffy," Nami yelled, "Luffy! This is extremely important, ok, listen. Where did you get the hat?"
Luffy blinked in surprise. "Uh. My hat? I got it from Shanks!"
"Red Haired Shanks," Robin clarified, "of the Four Emperors?"
"Yeah."
"Ok. Ok. And. Where did he get it?"
"Oh. I don't know. I never asked him about it. Oh, no, hang on, I think he got it from-"
"From his captain?" Nami interrupted loudly.
"Yeah, I think that's right."
Zoro frowned. "What does it mat-"
"It's real! It's real, I told you so," Nami shrieked, joyfully jabbing a finger at Robin, who was staring at Luffy in complete shock.
"Hello?" Zoro tried again. "What the heck are you two talking about?"
"It's...Gold Roger's hat..."
"Oh yeah, I guess it is."
"Gold Roger?"
"Shanks apprenticed under Roger. Every image of him that we have from his early days in the East Blue shows him wearing a straw hat, although he seems to have given it away shortly after entering the Line," Robin explained, a dumbfounded grin beginning to spread across her face. "Red Haired Shanks is seen wearing it though, in his first ever wanted poster."
"Luffy," Nami said intently, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him forcefully, "from now on you have got to be more careful with that thing! Do you hear me?!"
"I am careful!"
"I said more careful. That is an absolutely priceless artifact, we have to protect it at all costs!"
"I can't believe it's the real thing," Robin muttered aside to Zoro, still grinning. "This whole time I thought he was just wearing it to imitate Gold Roger."
Zoro snorted. "Please. Luffy knows next to nothing about history, even when it comes to Gold Roger."
"Sounds about right." Robin laughed too. "But, I guess that's my job, isn't it?"
"...Well, yeah. You are our crew historian after all."
